any diet you cant stick to every day of your life is not a good one and you will not be able to maintain your weight.
to get permanent results you have to make permanent changes in your lifestyle (diet and exercise)
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

you dont have to go on any soecial diet to lose weight. all you have to do is burn more calories than your eating! so if you eat 2,000 calories a day then try and cut back atleast 5 or 6 hundred calories.. and you will notice the weight coming off. fruits and salads are always healthy and give you energy. stay away from sodas there full of high calories and sugars. eat less junk food and candy.

Weight Watchers, because its something that allows you to choose what you it, and its more of a lifestyle chage rather than a fad diet that makes you gain weight after you quit it

weightwatchers is easy to follow - all foods have points value so you choose what to eat and as long as you have a balanced diet and do some exercise it does work - ive done it and lost 2 stone since January.
