crunches are one exercise that is good for your abdominal muscles, but to see them you need to reduce the overall amount of body fat, and no amount of crunches alone will do that. you need to increase your exercise and have a healthy diet. the simple maths is that you need to exercise more out than you put in (and there's no way to cheat, unfortunately).

Thats true! Doing crunches and all those abdominal excericises will build muscle but you probably won't be able to notice them unless you lose the fat around your stomach. What you need to do is do cardio! Burn lots of calories! I like to get cardio DVDs, run, go for a bike ride, jump rope, swim, whatever! Anything that gets your heart rate going!
Also eat foods like almonds and other nuts, beans and other legumes, spinach and other greens, turkey and other lean means, unsweetened/unflavored oatmeal, dairy (low fat and/or nonfat), fruit, berries, etc. Drink water often too!

I've attempted many diets and could not make some thing paintings. Since having my first little one, I've been wearing round another 30 kilos. This vitamin simply made feel and confirmed me that the whole thing I used to be doing earlier than used to be unsuitable and a waste of my time. The plan used to be so fresh and so sensible to comply with. I did the whole thing plan mentioned and misplaced 23 kilos within the first 3 weeks. I'm now establishing the vitamin once more to lose 7 extra kilos. This plan has transformed my existence. Get began at present!

To answer to your question, I'll give you my own experimentation.
In the only method really working for myself that I've discovered and tried, I've learned that everybody focus on abs exercises, and that this is a wrong approach, because abs exercises are not only very tiring, but also absolutely ineffective to burn fat away from abs, and this is the reason why most people give up quickly.
In reality, the only effective way really working, is to stimulate body metabolism which, with appropriate and less tiring exercises, will burn fat very fast.
I've tried this new approach, and I've lost my fat stomach with very visible and encouraging results in about six week

crunches wont make you lose any fat - all they do is build muscle. you cant spot reduce body fat. the only fat burning exercise is cardio and it burns fat all over your body - running, jogging, swimming, cycling, rope jumping etc - 4-6 times a week for average of 45min.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Good question. I want to know how to lose some belly weight, too.
I think that sit-ups are good to both build the diaphragm muscle, as well as lose the stubborn belly fat.

Just do crunches( like 300 a day). And also walk, jog, and bike ride. all of those will help lose your belly fat.
