I agree with Opinion416 about the possibility that you may be dealing with some type of depression. I've dealt with depression myself for a long time. I really do understand how a person can really feel like everything is just a drag. It is possible that you could also be dealing with another health issue that is contributing to these feelings. You should see your family physician. If your physician doesn't find anything obviously physical, you can get a referral to see a mental health practitioner. Whether what you are dealing with now is physical or emotional, you should do what you can to start feeling better now. The longer that you wait, the longer it may take to get back to enjoying your activities again.
Good luck.

There comes a point when you have to take charge of your thoughts and behaviors and make a conscious choice about how to motivate yourself by deciding what is important to you. You can't wait around for events 'outside yourself' motivate you.

Motivate yourself by just starting something. Take an interest in reading, a sport, hobby or any activity that requires you to get involved. Be interested by becoming an interesting person. Once you get the ball rolling you'd be surprised how quickly you get out of your funk. You just have to start!

Try to become involved in clubs or activities with other people, become involved in church or the community. Eventually you will meet people with the same interests as you and will think things are interesting. Also, if you are bored with your career, look into going back to school to get a degree so you can have more opportunities. If you feel bored and unmotivated still after trying these suggestions, go see your doctor, it could be depression or some other health issue.

How old are you? Depending on your age, getting some feedback from a life coach or something like that could help. Most coaches such as myself do coaching via the phone.

Motivational enhancment is a powerful tool. What do you like? When are you not bored? Fixate and feed yourself with what you like to do.

I'm not a doctor or a mental health professional, but as someone who's experienced depression before it certainly sounds like you may be suffering from some form of it. My advice to you would be to make an appointment with your personal doctor in order to get a professional diagnosis and a chance to talk about your options. There's a lot of great help out there--there's no need to sit idly by and suffer.

Read uplifting books. If you're going to be unmotivated, you might as well inspire yourself while you're at it. Books about people who've accomplished stuff small or large might help you feel like you can do it, too. If this persists, I'd consider seeing a doctor about depression. I like the idea about music, too. If I don't feel like cleaning the kitchen, but I know I should, I put in music I can sing to and that my kids will dance to. It's fun and motivating to have something else to have your mind on.

I remember that when everything is boring, it's not everything, it's only me that's being boring.
So I start doing something; something constructive or creative or that needs to be done. That pretty much takes care of boredom.

Generally, if you wait for life to be stimulating or entertaining for you, you're not contributing much to the scene. Doing something is the key to your, and maybe others', happiness.

I listen to upbeat music and go for walks when life gets dull. Exercise is a great way to open your mind for new ideas of how to have fun.
