I'm 3 1/2 years older than my husband and it works out very well, it's not even an issue.

3-4 years is a big difference when your in your teens, but as you get older it becomes less meaningful. Especially at your age it's already getting to the point where it shouldn't really matter.

What matters more is what stage in your life you're at. If one person is looking forward to getting married and having a family while the other one is finishing school and looking forward to getting out and seeing the world, then you're going to have a problem, but that could happen even if you were the exact same age.

Like they say, age is only a number...

Besides, would you think it was weird to see a 90 year old lady married to an 86 year old guy? Or would you pretty much not even notice?

My dad was 14 years older than my mother. They married when he was 42 and she was 28. They were married for 30 years when he died. I saw no problem with that.

My great-nephew was married at 22 to a 38 year old woman. They had one child and are now going through a divorce.

I, too, robbed the cradle LOL! DH is exactly 48 weeks younger than I am.

I guess when it's right, it's right! But I would hate to see another Anna Nicole--Marshall marriage. That was so transparent.

Thats not a big age differ. As long as your both happy. More than 10 years is where I would draw the line.

My parents are ten years apart and in love like i have never seen. a three years difference is nothing, i have a co worker that likes me and he's ten years older then me and if i were single i would certainly date him because of who he is not because of his age, so go for it if you like the guy.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it but women do mature faster than guys, so the relationship probably wouldn't last that long because of different opinions and interests
