You feel restless in all aspects of your life. You crave a change but are a) afraid, b) don't know how to go about it, or c) don't know where to start. You are dissatisfied with just about everything around you... and look to external factors to make a difference or to mask the misery you seem to be feeling. There is a sense that "this is all I have to show for my life?" You crave something new, something that brings to life the old you, something that gives you purpose again.

BUT... you will soon realize that the only person that can make a change is YOU.... I would suggest using your maturity to make wise decisions... but make some changes in your life. Maybe start going to the gym. Buy that car you always wanted. Get involved in a volunteer organization. Start treating your wife/husband with the same respect and awe you gave them at the beginning of your relationship... take your kids out to lunch. But get up and move... do something that is different!

Do you sit and wonder what you've done with your life? Do you feel that you should have more to show for all your work than what you see?
A midlife crisis can happen at any age, I've seen it happen at ages 30 and up....... don't feel bad, it happens to most people at one time or another. Just keep thinking positive and you'll be out of the low feeling you have and will go on to better days.

Depends on how old you are....many thirty-somethings think that they are experiancing a mid-life crisis when what they are actually going through is simply growing out of the childish habits and notions that they have had since coming of age. A mid-life crisis is a bit more serious, and tends to happen in your forties and fifties.
