Being an isolated Aussie, i have never seen any of their stuff, and i have not gone looking due to the controversy, about them, here on this site.
I guess i should have a look.
But it saddens me that they have gotten rich of the fat of a wonderful path.
It cheapens my faith.

Starhawk you have to admire, if for nothing more than practicing what she preaches. She donates so much time and energy to nature-based causes and lives in a sustainable way. Heck, so many people have read Spiraldance and been inspired by it, I don't think we can really complain that her history of Paganism in it was pretty sloppy. Sure, she's not the most scholarly author, but she is walking what she talks. As for Silver Ravenwolf... Well, I'm sure she's a nice person, even if her books are insipid and trite.

I know squat of starhawk but Silver Ravenwolf has been declared a looney heretic among serious Wiccans. So it's more reasonable to say that she is the King Herod of Wicca.

Ravenwolf makes a mockery of our lifestyle. She encourages people to lie about Wicca, make it as desexed as any other religion, and often makes up terminology.

Starhawk is nowhere near close to a "Paul" figure - no one will ever be such to Wicca - but she is far more credible than Ravenwolf.

I have much more respect for Starhawk, and find her ideas and writings to be much more meaningful and spiritual than Ravenwolf's.

I don't know that it's fair to draw any sort of comparison with Paul, though, since Wicca isn't a revealed religion and it's not a question of "her interpretation of the teachings of the Messiah".

OMG those names sound like the kind of idiot that uses our sage and the catholics holy water at the same time!

Culture thieves, completely crystal rubbin twinkie names.

You can't possibly take anyone with a name like that seriously.

Lol, No. She is making a lot of money at sharing her opinions though. Christians are not the only ones that hand out money for their religion.

LoL I dont think so. While she is a talented writer, and speaks well to young teens, she is merely that, and gives us the benefit of her expereince. She's by no means so divinely chosen prophet.
