try to make but am scared of haveing a bad batch

you can try filtering, but what toxic poisons are you talking about?

You either have ethanol (which is drinkable) or methanol (wood-alcohol which is bad).

If you made it with vegetable and/or fruits then you most likely have ethanol.

Also, wouldn't the distillation process "clean" up your moonshine a bit?

you have to know when to run the batch off i suggest a little reading on your part. its all over the internet and in books. just google The Alaskan bootleggers bible of how to make a moonshine still.

It's the same as asking "How do I take toxic poisons out of mercury, MEK, ethylene glycol, dog poop, etc...so I can consume it?" Think for a split second (more, if that's what it takes) what you're really asking. Really think.

You can't. Just rely on using the best ingrediaents. Corn, and potato's are known to work well. DO NOT use woody plants.

you can't "remove" it, it's not like someone added mercury.... if you ferment it wrong it doesnt produce the proper alcohol and no chemical reaction can re-convert it
