Sorry I am ill today so here is answer in short on what I think..
It seems that many new Catholics or the younger group of the faith. Do seem to really become offensive. They have only learned the word of God. It is a hard doctrine to understand. And yet still many do not read or study.( It is strange to me that one would not learn all they can about not only their religious sec but of others)
I think allot of baby.... Christians, or what ever religious sect they claim, are highly and easily offended.

NewCatholic is right, in the last 24 hours all people have done is criticise the Church and we will defend the Church, and we have never burnt anyone at the stake

Not really. It just depends upon how it's phrased. Some "questions" aren't really questions at all, for instance, but are simply malicious commentary. The asker isn't really seeking to increase their knowledge in any way, which is the point of asking a question in the first place. But if a question is asked sincerely and with good intent, no, it's not bashing. I enjoy answering questions about my faith, which is one of the many reasons I'm here.

Yes! I feel that Protestants, Unitarians, Hindus and Muslims have some time or another have bashed the Catholic Church/faith! I believed they did it coz the Catholic Church teach the truth and the truth hurts! They can't fine loop holes in the Catholic Church and therefore they bash without solid facts as they can find non! For every question the attack/bash at the Catholic Church, She can defend herself from quotation from the bible!

Actually, I find it an opportunity to bond closer to my religion.
But, ah, I'm a "Prodigal Daughter" who found the joy in Catholosim through "South Park" shows ... kinda "Messed - Up" ... I know, but even as a non-practicing catholic, "South Park" made it clear that they were clueless, and I was as clueless as them --- which sent me on a quest to learn the truth. Still love my South Park though.
As 4 the "Stake buring" ... if you're American or from Western Europe ... well, you have as much guilt and weight on the "Burning" as Catholics do ... I believe it was the "Quakers" who were the biggest one's in Salam. In which being "Catholic" and "American" it is part of my "FOREFATHERS" sins that stain some of my current existance.

Who are we? All Christians use to burn people at the stake, as I remember Calvin was quoted a couple times saying all heretics should be burned.
