compare DVD-R and DVD+R?

what are the advantages and disadvantages of DVD-R and DVD+R regarding:

Compatibility?
errors?
speed?
anything else?

no real differance. They were differant formats when dvdr's first came out. Now most dvd players support -r and +r with the exception of dvd-ram which died out I think. I would say buy whichever is cheaper.

the only thing I've noticed is that older dvd players will not play dvd+r. Other than that I don't see any difference.
