leaders throughout history have used scare tactics to keep the people in line,at the moment the best they can come up with is the global warming approach,they are exploiting a natural event to terrify people ,raise taxes and when we all survive for a few more years we can hail them as saviors.in the eighties it was acid rain,what happened to acid rain?did it run out?..

Acid rain has decreased because the government passed a law 37 years ago which limited emissions of sulfur dioxide which caused it. The Clean Air Act of 1970. Explanations of the Act for the general public are here:

The Supreme Court recently ordered the EPA to either regulate carbon dioxide emissions under the Clean Air Act to reduce global warming, or to give a scientifically valid reason why they should not. The Bush Administration opposed this case, and wrote a long argument why they thought they didn't have to. The Supreme Court said that argument had no legal or scientific validity.

No, at the moment the best they can come up with is terrorism. It is the excuse being used to imprison people without trial, justify spending trillions of dollars fighting in Iraq, justify bypassing the search warrant requirement and other attacks on our freedom. So far, almost no taxes have been raised in the name of global warming. Maybe none at all. I am not aware of a single tax increase in the U.S. that has been justified by global warming.

Sorry to tell you, but the U.S. government is just an extension of the corporate ruling class. So the only reason it would perpetuate global warming if it were a myth (which it is not) is if it favored that class (which it does not). That is why it fights the science tooth and nail.

It unlikely I ever believe a word of a politian or a salesman.
I have not yet given up on the entire human race but I am wondering about the intelligence of a species who would destroy the very planet that is sustaining its life.
Not to mention the intelligence of the male species that think it is ok to kill, poison and harm.

of course they are.how many of our so called politicians and environmentalists do you see cycling or walking about without cameras following them.but that aside they,ll manage to keep the unemployment figures down with all the people employed to police the rules and regulations involved ,just like the smoking ban.

i believe many governments team up together and decide to start a war to kill off population. its all a big scam, and as for terrorism its just a show. Its a big conspiracy, well thats what i believe
