I am sure that you are all familiar with "Its not your deeds that get you into heaven but by believing in Jesus" and "If you are not with Jesus you are against him, you can only choose one or the other, and by not choosing one your effectively choosing the other" Did I get that right?

If so, answer this. Lets just say that I am an evil person, I mean I do the most horrible things to people - I kill them, violate them in the worst ways possible, kill, cut up and eat little children, kill innocent people, ruin lives, torture others, etc etc and I do this my entire life, an entire life of horrible deeds, yet on my deathbed I accept Christ and ask for forgiveness...will I go to heaven or hell?

What about my friend who has devoted his entire life to helping out others, countlessly risking his life to make someone elses better? He has given up all his worldy possessions just to be able to help those less fortunate, but doesnt believe in Jesus....will he go to heaven or hell?

So basically what I am getting is that as long as I put my faith in Jesus I no longer have to help my fellow man out, that its all just a waste of my time? So i am a nice person for no reason? I should not feel bad for using someone for thier money, sex, material objects because I have Jesus and in the end I will still win? Am I wasting my time and money by volunteering and giving to charities?

So if I dont believe in Jesus yet I'm a good person, I therefore am doing the good deeds of satan, the symbol of evil? That doesnt make much sense. It seems that satan is more open and forgiving since he accepts everyone, not just the people that put faith in him.

Asking for forgiveness and receiving Christ as your Savior isn't just something u take lightly. I believe even on your death bed u have to be sincere. Only the Lord knows your heart, but also if u know the truth and keep denying Him, your heart can become hard and then u may never receive Him.
I doesn't matter what u've done, b/c Jesus paid the penalty for our sins and if we just believe and confess with our mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and that He died and rose from the dead, we will be saved.

And your friend that helps people; It doesn't matter how nice you are. I heard this song once that was called, The Nicest Man in Hell. You can be as nice as you want but Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you don't "take up your cross and follow Jesus" than good works are just that: good works.

First, yes your interpetation is correct.

The Holy Bible says No Man goes to the Father (God) except by Me (Jesus)

However- it also says That God so loved the world, & He does not desire anyone to perish, but that all should have everlasting Life (john 3:16)

Re your friend:
I personally- not doctrinally- believe that each person's life is held accountable & when their time here on this Earth is gone, Jesus knows their heart & their deeds & I believe every person who does not truly know Jesus that just perhaps He finds a way to touch their heart before complete death -- they still have a choice at that point to say yea or nay, but again that is my own personal belief -

The docrtine of most Chrsitians would bluntly say "hell" but I am not so sure - afterall are we Jesus?

Re you: First inclination from many Christians would be to say yes, Heaven.

The word refers to Robes of Righteousness and a Gown of Salvation -Ive heard a sermon once which specualted this could mean those who live righteous lives & those who make it in just "barely"

Jesus spoke to the thief on the cross & told the thief he would be with Jesus.

If you are truly repentant and sorry for your life of sin, and seek God's forgiveness, then you will be saved and go to heaven. But if you use a 'deathbed conversion' as just a way to do evil deeds and get through a 'loophole' in the system, then you are not truly repentant, but you are just trying to get away with it.
Faith in Christ and accepting Him as Lord and Savior brings the reward of everlasting life (John 3:16). No matter how many 'good deeds' you may have done in your life, if you haven't repented of your disobedience to God and accepted Jesus as Lord, then there is no heaven for them.

You are basing your opinions on the false teachers.. they are just having you say the name Jesus and you are saved this is part truth..

Jesus said He will come back to judge the living and the dead and for their final reward..

The false church's never stress Eternal judgment,, only the goodies..

false teachings..

sis is sin no matter what:
if you stole a hot dog from a mega rich person to feed your starving babie, then you are just as guilty of hell
as the rich people who in there whole life exploited, killed and torched poor people for their self gain,

to those who torture and kill babies for fun then eat them alive.

This is crazy teachings by the anti-christ

There are three types of sin 1. forgiven 2. judged 3. never forgiven..

No my friend! I understand somewhat what you are saying. But also what you are saying is not what is true. Putting your Faith in Satan is what Satan wants. Why you think they made left behind to warn everybody about this time that is coming. Doing this will not save you. God did not speak in tongue's when He spoke to us. But He spoke to in a language we could understand. Still does today. Unless you don't truly believe with your heart. Believing is seeing, seeing isn't believing. God loves you my friend. And He wants you just like all the rest of us to know. Matthew6:24"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

This is a common misconception-that your good deeds make you a candidate for heaven. God calls your works-iniquity (thats bad).
The Bible is clear-salvation is by the grace of God-it is a free gift, not by works lest any man can boast. It is the gift of God through faith (belief).
Yes, a murderer and rapist can repent in the electric chair and go to heaven. But the problem is that they must truly repent. God is no fool. He invented repentance-He knows when its real.
All the good you can do in the world does not count- God does not want it. It means nothing to Him. He wants your heart-then obediance, nothing else.

Yes, if you truly believe in your Heart of Hearts that He died for you, you will go to Heaven, However, I find it hard to believe that someone who would be as bad as you say would even consider this option. You reap what you sow, and if that person truly had the capability of believing in Christ, He would not do what you said he did. But yes, believing in His death and Resurrection gets you into heaven. Not how many nice things you have done or how many people you have saved or helped. Thanks for the question and have a great day!

I think the answer here relates to the concept of rewards in heaven as opposed to salvation. The rewards will be rewards of honor; obviously someone like Dahmer isn't going to have a lot of rewards, and nor would an Adolf Hitler who repented on his deathbed. So yes, to say they will be in the "nosebleed section" of heaven would be accurate.
So in conclusion on this tangent: The data would indicate that the primary focus of eternal punishment is the denial of the honor accorded to those who reject God's offer of salvation, and who bear themselves the shame and disgrace Jesus took in their stead. Therefore there is no inequality in the "suffering" -- these persons have denied God His ascribed honor; they are denied in turn the honor that is given to human beings, who are created with the intent that they live forever in God's service, reigning with Christ and serving him. They choose rather the shame and disgrace of serving their own interests; they are also shamed in accordance with their deeds (i.e., Hitler obviously has more to be "ashamed of" than, say, a robber baron). By denying their ascribed place in the collective identity of humanity, they are placed outside the boundaries, excatly as they desire to be and to the extent that their deeds demanded.

Jesus said to the thief on the cross who repented "Today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:43). You would go to heaven if you repented and believed in Jesus for your salvation, just as the thief on the cross.

There is no salvation apart from Christ. So your friend could not go to heaven. It is not something you can earn with works.
