Why can't Verizon tell how much they will charge for reactivation of line service?

I had phone service turned off, now I set up my personal computer in this trailer and I want serves turned back on: but no one will tell me how much that will cost. WHY?

I do not recall the exact amount.. but the cost will vary depending on if they need to send a tech to re-establish service... being turned on from the office was about $90 (in ny) and just under $200 if a tech needs to come out to complete the install...

they should tell you how much they charge for the installation, or reactivation... it really depends on how long the service was inactive... the longer it has been off the more likely a tech will need to come out....
