I did mine on a computer and printed a cover on cardstock, then bound them with some store bought ribbon, turned out very nice

I saw in one magazine where the bridge put the wedding program on these cute fans for people to use during the ceremony (it was an outside wedding)

another cute idea is to roll the program into a scroll and tie it with a pretty ribbon, maybe with beads or crystals on the end of the ribbons for sparkle.

Congrats and good luck!

I did the programs for my cousin's wedding. They wanted it the size of a newsletter with games and a coloring page. They got some small crayons and placed one at each table setting.

I have an unfair advantage because I'm a graphic artist. I cannot stand looking at did-it-themselves programs. They look terrible, maybe that's why they get left behind.

The only thing that comes to mind is a fan- google it for lots of options.

For DIY how about just a unique shape? Circle or heart shaped paper might be neat and super inexpensive.

You can go to a Christian bookstore and get the blank covers. There are usually several designs and you get like 50 for $10. Design the inside on your computer. Print one to make sure it lines up right then run the rest on a copier. Easy, fast and pretty.

Why are you doing programs if you are on a tight budget? I did not do them and quite frankly have never been to a wedding with them. However, you could buy some pretty paper at a stationary store or print shop and do them on your home computer. While you are at the print shop you could ask if they could print them.

if your wedding is outside, you could do program fans like these: http://www.antoniaroseprinting.com/fanprograms.htm i don't think these would be difficult for a DIY project.

my fiance and i are both thespians (theatre people), so i'm thinking about doing our programs like playbills, listing the bridal party as the cast of characters, and the sections of the ceremony as the scenes, and also including special thanks to people who've helped out.

Design your own then take it to Staples or Kinkos. That's what I'm doing.
