Knowing God Through Love

7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:7-11

Nope - we can only hope to be as much like Him as possible. Loving like Jesus means not getting mad at anyone - including the jerk that cuts you off in traffic, the woman at the grocery store with a million coupons and the 100 other people that irritate us everyday.

I don't believe Christ would teach us how to do something (love like He does) if He knew there was no way we could do it. We are not perfect but we are to work toward perfection. We do not love perfectly, but we are to work toward loving perfectly.

As far as I'm concerned- If this love is what Jesus has for us then I will work toward being more like Him in my love. I do think it is attainable. "I can do ALL THINGS through Christ which strengtheneth me!!!"
"All things" includes loving like He does.

Yes... Jesus teaches people to, if they are open to it. The description of love is in the Gospels, for instance loving your others as you do yourself and loving your enemies. The description of this love is in 1 Corinthians 13.

Some do and most dont. To do this, we msut be fully surrender to His will and not our own, we must live like Jesus speak like Jesus and be born again, allowing Him to change our hearts and minds from the inside out, and then we can love as He loves. Its worth all we have to give it and when it comes back to us, oh man. Celebrate Jesus for everything. yes.

Yes I believe we all know love that much. Some of us chose not to love that much because we fear of being hurt by other people. Jesus was hurt by other people and it made him love more. Some people don't love as much as Jesus, not because they can't but, because their selfish.

Man being an unfinished god through the deceptions of satan has an imperfect love and imperfect relationship. Even so, medico-bio science shows that man has two conflicting minds. One is the conscious -the rational mind, the good mind. And another is the unconscious mind or the irrational mind or the mind which is the remnant of the ape-man mind and this attempts to reach to the higher level of consciousness; and thus, in a criminal mind when they commit passion of crimes they felt unconscious in the crime of the scene as if the animal instinct has overwhelmed the total consciousness. That is why the gov't of men is called by the Prophet Daniel as the gov't of the beast (beastly character). But later in the kingdom of heaven in the year 3500 ruled by THE LORD JESUS CHRIST as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS with a semi-perfect reality with its universal gardens of eden, man will be born in the spirit and will become angel-like. Later after 15 billion years or the everlasting age of the universe, in the coming of the celestial heaven or the new earth and the new heaven to our space under the gov't of GOD, the angel-like men will be born of GOD and will become gods or like-GOD; and thus, they will become perfect . With their lordship and godship they will become LORDS and GODS over a universe or multi-universes according to one's works where THE LORD GOD will create countless universes for the habitation of new created men to the omega-the unendidng world in the process becoming gods and be part of the family of GOD in the HOUSE OF JACOB (the overcomer) forever unto omega-the unending world. THE KINGDOM OF GOD will be like a tree that will grow forever. That is the amazing and super wonderful unending worlds awaiting the imperfect men. No. I have to pray for strength to love others the way He did. It is actually a very hard thing to, and some people make it harder for me than others! LoL

Do you really think that no-one else in history has suffered greater pain in the name of love than JC is supposed to have done?

Will you deny that others have died more horrible deaths?
