I worked in Human Resources for Target for a while, and in my interviews I looked for enthusiasm, neatness, professional attire (i.e. don't wear jeans and a tshirt), attention (instead of looking around, slouching, etc.), and people who gave thoughtful answers instead of the "safe and basic" answers.
Just smile a lot and be friendly and you'll be fine.
Also, until you are offered the job, don't ask questions about money or time off. It just looks bad.
Hope this helps!
Oh, and please TURN YOUR CELL PHONE OFF AND DO NOT ANSWER IT!!! You'd be surprised how much that happened. I didn't hire those people...
As far as what to expect, you should meet with the HR manager first, and if they like you they give you a second interview with someone else. They will compare notes and either say yes or no. Then one of them, (or an executive manager) will give you an offer, which is when you can ask all those money type questions. It takes around 1/2 hour to 45 minutes total, usually.
Good luck!

Quite a few years ago I interviewed at Target for a part time position while I was in graduate school. If I remember correctly it was a one on one interview, and if they liked you they moved you on to another manager and so on. Also, one question they asked me that you should give some thought to. We call our customers guests what does that mean to you?

Treat it like any other interview. Smile. Maintain eye contact. Good, firm hand shake. Dress nice and be neat and courteous at all times!
Good luck!
