NOT a smart idea. That is known as inbreeding and the puppies can be deformed with many genetic complications.

Ick. No this is not a good idea! You wouldn't breed human brother and sisters would you? It's bad for basically the same reason - putting together sets of genes that are too close can and often does result in birth defects. Even if the defects are not immediately obvious, like physical deformities, they can become apparent in later life e.g in the form of organ defects.
Inbreeding is the reason for many defects inherent to breeds. Nature needs a wide selection of genes to work properly - i.e not the closely matched genes of relatives. Don't do it!

This is inbreeding, the standard method is to use dogs who aren't directly related but are from the same line. Cousins, for instance. It's used to isolate "desirable" traits in a certain breed, but it also creates a greater likelyhood that the dog will develop birth defects, poor temperment and health problems common in their breed or family line. Brother and sister should never be bred because it almost guarentees a poor litter.
Now, do me a favor and *don't* use this information. Before even considering being a breeder you should find a reputable and registered professional breeder to mentor you.

yes, you can breed a brother and sister but inbreeding causes many problems both physical and mental. It can cause the temperment of the dog to be more unstable for one, and also it can also cause deformities from inbreeding. It is the biggest cause of ressesive diseases. Stop to think of this? would you really want to breed with your brother or sister? Studies show that with inbreeding, there are far more deformities and mental issues than dogs not related.

I personally would not do it. just think of it this way what would happen if you had a baby that the parents were brother and sister? well its the same with dogs. i would advise against it.

Ack NOOOOO and since you asked this question may I suggest never breeding any animals at all. This is such an obvious question... after all would you have a baby with your sibling?
