What is a soul?
It is that which makes you a living being.
Can my soul think?
No, your mind thinks. Your soul reacts to the information accordingly.
How can it think when it has no brain as i will be dead therefore brain dead
It doesn't. All information and memories are stored in the books that are opened at the judgment in Revelation.
Will it remember the life i lead?
Your entire life will be brought before God on that day. Yes, you will remember, and so will God.

The 'soul' is a fictitious 'ghost' of your being and personality which supposedly lives on following bodily death. It is easy to disprove the existence of a soul: as a soul is not physical, and should not in theory be affected in any way by the physical. But doctors can easily render a patient unconscious through a small dose of chemicals prior to surgery. Is the 'soul' affected by chemicals or does the 'soul' not exist. Peoples pesonalities are also often drastically altered following injuries to the brain, and as your personality is linked to your 'soul' this obviously makes no sense as how can a 'soul' be damaged? What people regard as a 'soul' is nothing more than a bunch of chemical reactions taking place in a physical brain of a living human, just as they do in apes, dogs, rats, and ants.

There is some debate among Christians on this issue.
For instance, in Genesis, we are told that God breathed the breath of life into Adam, and he became a living soul. Thus, Adam became a body with a spirit, and both together become a soul.
Some mistakenly refer to the spirit as the soul...even in the Bible this term has been mistranslated many times...and this is what causes all the confusion.
But that is all semantics. The point is, that your spirit is the part of you that is "in the image of God"...it is the essence of you, including your brain...it is what you are...your thoughts, your feelings...your personality, if you will.
You see, the problem here is that you are confusing what is physical...your brain...with what is spiritual...your spirit.

The Soul is the immortal part of your being. The body, with all of it's nerves, muscles and tissues is only one part of who you are.
Your Personality is another part of who you are. When we die the body will remain. The Personality will merge back with the Soul. But the Soul remains eternal.
Many people also believe that the Soul will have many different lifetimes, or Incarnations. In this theory each lifetime comes and goes. Each lifetime Personality returns to reintegrate with the Soul.
In the belief of Reincarnation, you are the Sum-Total today of everyone you have ever been in previous lifetimes.

Don't look now, but Thetaalways, the guy above this message is a Scientologist... he is spouting L Ron Hubbards nonsense...your soul is the essence of your life-spark and cannot be destroyed when you die - you will be reincarnated as an animal, unless you have been very good to others in this lifetime - then your next lives will be better than the last, until finally you reach true enlightenment.

Your "soul" is you, inhabiting your current body..when your current body dies, you will either float around for a while or enter another baby's body right away, depending on how strong your will is...when people have "out of body" experiences, it is the soul getting out for just a bit...usually it frightens them, so they snap back into the body pretty quick....some people think you can train yourself to control your body from outside for long periods of time ...look up "astral projection" in Wikipedia for more info.
The important thing to remember is, you are not your brain or your body...you control these things.

Dear Party,
Your soul is your spirit essence. This is the "real" you. When your soul leaves your body, all that is left is a corpse or the vessel that housed your soul. If buried your corpse will corrupt into the elements of which it is composed.
