i just got this offer for a part time job but i have to be available for 3 consecutive days next week for a training. I ' m new in this current job that I have and their policy to ask for days 0ff is 3 weeks in advance, should I just be honnest with them??

First, I would request the time off from your current employer with an explaination. The worst they can do is refuse you. They likely have the policy to prevent people from just taking time off and leaving them in a lurch but if you are not training with others at your current job, it shouldn't be too bad.

If they do not give you the time off, I would explain that to your part-time employer. Perhaps what you can do is take a later training class that is offered (say in 3+ weeks) It is unreasonable for them to expect you to drop and give them 3 days outside of your "available time" just for training.

If they are OK with you having other outside employement, they should be fine...however, you will have to abide by the minimum request.

Please note, that generally, any request of this nature during your probationary period could result in a termination notice.

Easiest way is to contact the "new" employer and, since (s)he is already aware that you are otherwise employed, they *may* be able to accomodate you with a later training period. One that does not conflict with your current employment.
