chocolahoma your reading way too much into this question. Someone asked about Moon Pies in the ethnic food catagory and I never thought about them being ethnic but alot of people apparently disagree.

Oh yes! Moon pies are for the deep Southern folks who like to eat them with an RC Cola.

All food is ethnic food. White people are an ethnic group just like any other.

If moon pies are traceable back to low-income. white southern state Americans, then I'd categorize them as "Southern cuisine". They might also categorize as "soul food" or under another label...

Are you trying to make a point about what poor people like to eat? How is graham crackers, marshmallow and chocolate any worse than say philo dough, almonds and honey?
