You would have thought that as this has happened more than once that your daughter and her partner would have caught on and planned well in advance so as not to loose their flight money. I suppose some people never learn.

BTW It doesn't matter if your daughter's boyfriend is white or black. He is not a European Union citizen therefore he cannot gain easy access to Spain. He is subject to the laws that any South African is when going to Spain.

Yes he does. A permit here does not mean a permit there. If they get married and he becomes a Brit then problems solved. They should apply for visas well before booking a flight as the Continentals are a bit slow in that area.

If he has a British Visa he may then apply for a Schengen visa enabling him to visit any country within the EU.But note the Uk did not sign that agreement. They are easily come by and you must look on the Schengen internet site it will tell you all.

i think the problem lies in being south african not the fact that he lives and works in the uk. since they know the problem exists, visits will have to be planned well in advance

The English human beings living in Spain could relatively take a while to study Spanish - not in straightforward terms to maintain the Spaniard's chuffed, yet to make their very own lives in Spain a lot greater relaxing. there are maximum of greater opportunities in existence - the two social and financial - having the flexibility to communicate the foremost language the place you reside. could they be deported for not conversing Spanish? No! it somewhat is too a lot. And it does take time to study a language, distinctly in case you're spending maximum of a while putting out in expat communities extremely than integrating with the locals. a side-be conscious for x_Nikkyy and Jessica: the two "me amigo" and "mio amigo" are incorrect... that's going to be "mi amigo". E.g. "he's my chum" : "es mi amigo" "mio" is utilized in a distinctive way e.g. "the e book is mine" : "el libro es mio"

If they say he does then he does...also, his colour is not something you should be mentioning...black or white, all South Africans get the same treatment.
