Could this be some kind of hernia and if so what kind? A lump in my stomach that has been there for about 2 years. It does not show on the outside. It is about 2 inches above the navel. Feel it more when I am standing. It burns at times. Can't be pushed back in...At least doesn't seem as though it will.

Sure sounds like one. If it burns and can't be reduced when you manipulate it then thats trouble. See the hernia is part of you intestine and if it pushes through and so much pushes through that the blood supply get limited to that area. That feeling is probably the burning, and if the intestine is without blood supply and dies that is a medical emergency.

It may be a hernia, a hernia is caused by a tear in the abdominal muscle and usually your intestine or something else in there pokes through.
Whatever it is it is not normal and you really should get it checked by your doctor.
