Adam was the first Son of God (according to Luke.)
Before God shortened human lifespan to 120 years, an undisclosed number of Sons of God mated with Daughters of Man to populate the earth (Genesis.)
Sons of God is in the Christian text, so can we get some consistency, please?

Begotten son is redundant. If God is everything, God is the mud from which He made Adam.

conception is different- God impregnating a woman is different than man impregnating a woman.

Like it or not, the bible says what it says, and means what it says. So, when it says "begotten," that's what it meant. It is not redundant. Our entire universe, and everything in it, is created from GOD. HE spoke it into being. It does not mean HE is everything. HE didn't speak himself into being. Read up on Genesis.
We are all children of GOD (Romans 8:15-16), whether we like it or not. Some are ignorant of the fact. Others choose to not accept it.
Christ is the only child that was born from the pregnancy between GOD and Mary. Read Matthew.
Adam and Eve were created, not born. How's that for consistency?

Christ is the only "begotten" of God, not the "only" son. Technically we're all sons and daughters of God, Christ was the only one sent directly from god, with "Goldy powers" to perform specific acts.

God's only son refers to Jesus.
Adam being the first son of God refers to him being the first man.

Only BEGOTTEN Son... This makes Jesus different from the others. No others are considered "begotten of God"

The Bible is trying to say that Jesus is unique.
Other "sons" of God are merely his creations, while Jesus alone is of the same substance as God.
