Wine is served every Sunday at my church for Communion. Also, at some of my church's social events, wine, beer, or champagne is often served. We don't view drinking as a sin. It's drunkenness, not drinking in and of itself, that gets people into trouble.

I little can be good for your health but a lot is definatly bad. some people can not take alcohole at all so it is better to abstain if you are not sure. personaly I do not like it but did go through a stage of drinking to much now I would not refuse a glass of wine with a meal but do not go out for a drink and do not drink in my own home.

I drink wine, beer and wine coolers. I don't drink often because it doesn't make me feel good any more. I used to be able to drink 6-9 beers at one time. That is just not a good way to live. Not too good to drink sorrows away. Lesson learned and now I drink maybe once a month, if that!

If God's people truly know their Bible they will recall the verses that condemn the use of strong drink.....

sparkling wine is a liar and deceiver.....

the juice of the grape is called wine, what the translated word from Hebrew equals....in English that has been taken to mean something totally different than it is!!!

the Bible does not support alcoholic drink...do some reading...the Bible condemns it...

I'm a Christian and I drink alcohol. Just like anything else, excess can get you into trouble. I know fellow believers who refuse to drink, but that's their personal choice, not God telling them it's not ok.

I think it is OK if you are at home on a hot day to have a couple of beers. Also, I think it is OK to drink a glass or two of wine with dinner. As long as you don't abuse it or cause someone to stumble in their faith it is OK. My doctor actually told me that 1-2 beers or glasses of red wine per day is very very healthy for the body.

All of God's People know that it is OK to drink alcohol. Religious people that claim God is their father have a problem with alcohol.

In the Old Testament, only 'one' tribe was forbidden to drink alcohol. Drinking is not a sin, only certain christian groups have put a 'sin' in alcohol, coffee, smoking, etc.

I think it's ok ONLY in moderation and as long as it's not in mixed company. Someone who has made a concscious choice to abstain from all alcohol would be offended by that, and we should respect that.

"In the room six very large stone water-jars stood on the floor (actually for the Jewish ceremonial cleansing), each holding about twenty gallons. Jesus gave instructions for these jars to be filled with water, and the servants filled them to the brim. Then he said to them, "Now draw some water out and take it to the master of ceremonies", which they did. When this man tasted the water, which had now become wine, without knowing where it came from (though naturally the servants who had drawn the water knew), he called out to the bridegroom and said to him, "Everybody I know puts his good wine on first and then when men have had plenty to drink, he brings out the poor stuff. But you have kept back your good wine till now!"
