I can not say as to what drinking does to your skin, but it does have an adverse effect on the liver.
Smoking on the other hand has a horrible effect on your entire body. It causes you face to get premature wrinkles around the lips, it dries out your skin, deposits toxins in your fatty tissues and internal organs. It also has nicotine which is a very interesting drug. once you introduce it into your brain (one puff) it replaces a naturally occurring endorphins and the brain says ok I don't have to make the endorphins anymore. Then your brain becomes dependent on the nicotine.
If you only smoke now and then the nicotine acts as a stimulant and if you smoke a lot it will act like a sedative.

Nicotine is harder to kick than heroine is. I am a smoker and wish I never started, I started so I would "fit in".

Well I guess both can effect the skin.. I dont drink much, but I do smoke. I am 31 and have very good skin. Never had a problem with acne and I dont have any wrinkles yet. Im not saying at all that smoking prevents or heals acne but, so far, in 15 yrs it hasn't hurt my skin.

The skin turns into another colour especially the lips. It becomes
blue black and it becomes very obvious.
