Do you think this means, I didn't make the cut this time but am added to the list for consideration in the future or that I may be getting a call for an interview?

The app was not made online, I got this response in the mail after applying locally. I actually applied for 2 different positions but it only has one of them listed. I'm hoping for the better, I hope I get a call soon! I'm nervous about interviewing anywhere, but I guess I gotta do it sometime or another if I want a job.

I think it means you made the list to be considered. Often times you go into a resume database that they will pull resumes off for the time indicated. It basically means they will keep you in the que. I would do a follow up call just to show your interest and keep your name fresh in their mind.

It means that you will be contacted if chosen. It sounds like you applied online, and they were acknowledging your application. If they like you, you will be contacted for an interview. By keeping your application on file, you can be considered for other openings within the company without you having to apply.

I agree with my forum members that is merely an acknowledgement of receipt of your application which they will hold along with your name for a period of one year and thereafter, they will often trash the application due to storage considerations.
Your reaction to this response, is to go about seeking other employment and submitting other job applications elsewhere.

Neither , thats the standard form letter response they send out. They may still be reviewing your application, have filed it away for later consideration, or tossed it into the shredder. Sorry I couldn't offer better news.

I's just letting you know that they have received your application and will consider it... they wil then keep it on file for upto 1 year when they will file it in File 13
Just keep looking and good luck ! you may or may not get an interview :)

to my knowledge i think it means that you are qualified but their are no positing available yet. they will call you In the future. you can always call back and ask them what is your statues of your application.

it means you submitted your resume successfully. that's probably an automated message that they send to everyone who applies. they haven't looked at your application yet. but if it looks good, they will call you.
