can anybody calm my fears about leaving my 17 month old son for a week while i go and vacation in boston with my 9 yr old daughter and my dad. I am leaving soon and i am nervous..i know he will be in good hands with his dad and my sister to help me but i am still getting aniexty about it. I did leave him last year for a4 days trip to the bahammas but he is older now and i have become sooooo attached to him but i do not want to take him to boston with me as he will not be good...he is a needy kid and needs his naps and that is not possible when i am away. The purpose of the whole trip is for my 9 yr old daughter to see her dad and grandparents. have you ever left your baby and how did you deal?

cat...i will not ruin it for my daughter...i want her to have fun and i will too....it's just leaving my son behind that sucks

i know it's the best thing to leave my son behind as when i take him to restaurants, he just gets so fussy....so it would not be fun with him on the trip

You sweet protective Mama you. The key word here is "I know he will be fine with his Dad and my sister" I would imagine your 9 year old will love having the one on one time with you. While our babies are small, they demand every second. The baby could probably use the one on one time with his Dad. You know that your sister will call you, and you can call home. Just try to enjoy the break. A week will fly by in a hurry. Besides your baby would probably be miserable making a trip like that. Go And Have Fun!

youre going to have trouble leaving him. i went away for 4 days to vegas and i called my kids everyday. just call everyonce and a while and have fun on your trip!! dont ruin it for your 9 year old either because the baby cant come.

i can understand how your going to feel you will miss him like mad just think its a week enjoy yourself and enjoy time away you will have him for alife time when you get back and he will be safe
