Actually no. The stock market is booming and as long as technology spears ahead, we will find the general human condition will improve! Science, through grants and demand to control the population to a civil way of living, with less and less killing will eventually provide products that will allow humans to control themselves under duress. Newly developed offensive and defensive less and less fatal weapons are on the horizon from the will of the people and huge advances in trade have been made in various countries. All of this could not have happenned without our involvement in Iraq. Soon we will be doing this all around the world. Soon non lethal technological crowd control humanitarian interference by the US will become acceptable by the world and more healing can be expected out of that.

It will take more than Iraq to break America .The internal poison that is liberalism as it is often called but is really isolationism and surrender may be the thing that breaks America ,Carter and his cronies sucked the life out of the American psyche and Reagan gave it back its soul. What do you think Obama and Hillary can give America other than surrender and shame.Ever wonder why the brits support the fight and the Democrats dont.

Our country is already on its knees. A government run and paid for by the corporations. A weak US dollar. An unsustainable debt and a majority of the population disinterested in the way the country is run. Companies offshoring their labor, both non skilled and skilled. We have already seen the last of the dream that was America.

America had been on it's knees for decades before that. If the USSR hadn't collapsed flat on it's metaphorical back, we'd've never won the Cold War...

No, because we will eventually get the Iraqi oil. It will be brought here by the oil import company owned by President Bush's father. You did know that Bush Senior has been in the oil import business since he left the white house, right?
