on thier faith instead of researching and finding the answer? Would this not drive away someone truly searching for answers instead of drawing them closer to god? Why not answer in a respectfull manner what you believe and why instead?

Anyone who would be offended , obviously is not interested in knowing what other people think about a certain scripture. And you are right , it would drive away anyone who was seriously seeking the truth. For this very reason, many Christians have organized Bible Studies, in their homes, away from the church, where they have have open discussions of various scriptures. Then they take what they think is correct and get an educated opinion from someone at the church who may be more knowledgeable.

I just read through the answers of your last question and I don't see the attack in which you refer. I read respectful, intelligent and well thought out answers. When you state an opinion or ask a question, if they don't agree with yours, it's not an attack it's called a different point of view. The bible is there for our interpretation, if you read it, take it into your heart and believe in it, there is no wrong answer.

Usually people would see a provoking question as an attack and that is usually because it is an attack.
When I answer a question about GOD I go right to the source. If there is someplace I should go besides GOD then my relationship with Jesus would be pointless.

Asking someone to thing is an attack in itself to some.
Seems some haven't read "be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you"
And many many times the asker doesn't really care to know.

Do not lean on your own understandings. Go to the bible for answers so the people may see that its from God not himself. My pastor goes to the bible on every question out there. And he points it out.
Bible has everything in it, from how to live a good happy life, to the after life and what it will happin.
