It is never "safe" to overdose on anything including vitamins, some of which can be toxic in large doses. Some vitamins tend to have the opposite effect if taken in too large doses. The others are excreted by your body, so this is a waste. Take one Centrum a day with a meal and it doesn't matter what time of day or night you take it. The person above me ("cbc f") doesn't know why you feel the way you do. And where did this person get the idea that you're trying to lose weight? Sounds like a sales pitch.
I suggest you have a complete physical exam. If you indulge in a certain lifestyle, you may already know why you feel bad.

Taking one Centrum probably doesn't even do anything, they are the weakest, crappiest vitamins on the market. They make vitamins that have 100x more of each vitamin and mineral in them, and they say take TWO of those a day! Anyone who takes 2 or 3 Centrum per day will be completely fine.

Don't do it. Excess of vitamins could lead to major health problems. Also, don't forget that on top of getting your vitamins through centrum, you're also getting them through the foods and drinks you consume. Too much of a vitamin is a bad idea. For instance, too much calcium could result in painful calcium stones forming in the liver which then would need to be removed (I know a woman who this happened to). Too much fiber could cause you to be constipated, too much iron could lead to fatal poisoning. I could go on and on, but the fact of the matter is you should stick to one centrum per day. Don't you think if it would be ok for people to take 2 centrum pills a day versus one, the company would take advantage of putting that on the label so that they could sell more of them? But clearly they can't do that because they know that people will start getting sick and they will be stuck with major lawsuits as a result. Instead, to boost your body's nutrient levels, eat organic, eat more vegetables, and eat a balanced diet that has a bit of all food groups (unless you're allergic to some of them). Also, just read on the internet about how many vitamins is healthy for a person based on their age, weight, height and health concerns and then look at centrum's labels to see whether you could increase the milligrams of some of the vitamins in it through additional supplements, or you may find that this multivitamin does not include certain vitamins that you may benefit from. For instance, even though I take a daily centrum multivitamin/multimineral, I researched online that people with depression could take much more vitamin C than the amount in centrum, and since I had depression I bought an extra vitamin C supplement. Also I wanted a supplement that would make my skin and hair healthier as well as promote healthy joints, so I also take omega 3, because it is not included in centrum. In order to get more advice, you can go to GNC or other well-known store that sells supplements - there you can speak to people who can help you stock up on supplements that will help you in your health goals and they will be able to offer you an educated opinion of what you should take, how much of it, what you could combibe and what you can't, etc. Just because it says on the bottle that it's complete with all the vitamins you need does not necessarily make it so because everyone's body needs its own individual amount, but one thing that remains the same is that excess of any vitamin could jeaopardize one's health, so definitely don't take more than 1 centrum per day.

It should be okay. They all have the daily value of what a normal body needs however most peoples bodies dont absorb everything in the vitamin...I was told by a pharmacist that most people only get about 10% of what they are taking. Taking them with an acidic juice like orange juice will help your body absorb them also.

NO!!
Please do not do this, it is not safe and an excess of vitamins will cause toxicity (the opposite of not having enough vits), and will make you even more ill.
Take the one a day, eat fresh food, not in cans or heavily processed, do some fresh air exercise if you can a little walk and you will feel better soon.

you can overdo vitamins. some of them aren't metabolized and can build up in the body causing harm to different organs. water-soluble vitamins won't hurt as much as fat-soluble vitamins. you're much better off eating a well balanced diet.

Won't kill you but it won't help you. You need to examine your diet, exercise, entertainment and work routine and work out a healthy balance (diet and life style).
