I enjoy watching and listening to political talk shows, but sometimes I start to feel hate towards non-chrisitians who don't believe the way I do. I don't like feeling that way. It makes me wonder how involved Christians should be in politics. Should Chrsitians focus more on leading people to Christ on an individual manner? Is it ok to use politics to further Christianity? How do you think Jesus would feel?

Firstly and most importantly Jesus is not a Politician. He is the King who will rule the world very soon. So all these politics and associated things only confirm the Biblical perspective that there won't be peace on earth until Jesus takes up his Kingdom. Jesus is not a Republican or Democrat. So siding with either party will not get you an applause from God. I know a lot of really well know Evangelists openly side the Republicans and I don't agree with it. We have a civic responsibility to elect good people to the office. However, it seems like a lot of Evangelists and preachers stretch the truth in the Bible to say that we need to get all of them to this camp or that camp because that is the group that Jesus approves.

Here is how I feel - go to the election and vote (vote for the better candidate). Then go back and campaign for Jesus Christ and his Kingdom. We want to get as many people on His side as possible. A lot of the Christian leaders campaign for so many causes - they collect signatures, write letters, encourage people to make calls, do parades etc. all those are non biblical. The only thing we are commanded in the Bible is to pray for the leaders no matter who they are. God puts them in the office. Pray that they will have wisdom to lead. They are not perfect people (no matter which party they are from), and so they need wisdom to lead. Read I Timothy 2: 1,2. God asks that we should pray for the leaders so that we may live a peaceful life. Prayer is the only form of political fight allowed for a Christian. So here is a Christian's political agenda.. Spread the gospel and Pray.

We should be involved in politics as much as we want. In the 30's, a movement occurred within the church that decided politics was too dirty for Christians to be involved in. As that philosophy followed its natural lifespan, very few Christians became involved, leaving those who didn't have a Christian world view to govern.

Naturally, we are to be in, not of the world. We aren't to abandon our role as salt and light, and that includes the political arena. We should seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness, (Matthew 6:33) but that doesn't mean to neglect the second, third and fourth things.

Are we now not meant to comply with the legislation of the land? Just considering the USA has strayed from it is founding roots - Christianity - does now not imply we must stop our rights to perform the formation of the legislation/insurance policies. Agree. Roe v Wade must be overturned. Politics, like something else, is a distraction when you enable it to be. I seem round. I can see what is going on now not simply right here, however all over the world. It could be very distressing to me and it makes me very unhappy. Sometimes it could be bigger if I was once nonetheless blind. It would not be so unhappy. I speak to the Lord approximately it at all times. But I are not able to permit that sorrow and disappointment seep into my spirit/brain and influence my paintings for the Lord. Depression/sloth can emerge as a sin of complacency. I wasn't referred to as to be a preacher. A man or woman to move forth and unfold the gospel in international lands. I am only a helper of my group. If that was once well ample for the Lord. Then that is well ample for me.

I feel that Christians should be represented in government since we are people and our "political" views are as valid as the next. I do however keep myself out of politics. I vote and I think hard about it when I do it, but I don't necessarily think a "Christian Agenda" needs to be brought to government. I feel that government should ensure us the opportunity to practice all religions freely, provided they don't infringe on others rights. I think Jesus would care little about our government as it is. He was not a political figure in his day, nor do I feel he would be today. His focus was on salvation, sanctification, etc. which are all available no matter what form of government you are under.

Well a Christian shouldn't be getting into crooked practices but should be as involved as possible in politics for the purpose of protecting their rights to practice their religion while also respecting other religions rights as well.

Like everyone else I will vote for a candidate that supports my views. I also believe that candidates should run as themselves and not in a way that gets them the most votes. If you are a Christian great, but if you are not don't try and act like one during the campaign and then change once in office.

I think we need to be involved. We are to pray for our leaders, and we as Christians are to live for and live like Jesus. I hold a public office, as well as another Christian friend. So get involved.

I believe we should be involved in politics. Should we force our beliefs on everyone? No, because we don't live in a theocracy. But we should certainly represent our faith well and do what we can to make our nation a better place.

well, the way you feel is only from your point of view.I think that Christians should lead others to believe in Jesus Christ and not insult people because they don't.
