He felt the need to come and see his grandmother after all of these years. Who cares why he took so long. Just be grateful that if finally did show up. Don't hold on to past grudges. Life is too short for that.

Be glad! Show him the ways you have learned! Some people these days never hear from their loved ones in a lifetime!

If he betrays you with druggie behavior, certainly toss him out! But if he seems like he is doing right by life, for God's sake, don't abandon him. Show him more of the way by your example!

I will be glad to see him, invite him and his wife. Be happy for him.

Forgive him for his long absence(for he might have a reason). Why worry about the past, and hold a resistance for it? Since when we started to have visitors hours for our families. Loving someone is easier than holding grudge or worrying about something in the past.

Enjoy your time with your family, Grandson and his granddaughter-in-law. To share our love with our families is our first responsibility(without any expectation). That is our first testing ground for our unconditional love, looking at that way helps to overcome those questionable thoughts. Hope this helps. Enjoy your time with your Grandson.

Uh........... I'm sorry to say that none of knows for sure. We can give you some ideas of why he may have done that. Maybe he wasn't proud of his life the past 10 years and now that he is married, he is so he wanted to show you his new wife. That is one possibility.

So what's more important to you? Your anger about not seeing him for those years? Or your joy that he comes to see you now? I'm sure as you learn more about each other the answer will be revealed to you. Enjoy this time, have fun and be happy .

Obviously it was not initially his fault he did not see you. Then it possibly reached a point of embarrassment, and also obviously he wants to know you, and for you to be part of his life, and his family. Just accept this good fortune, accept his family into your heart, stop being so suspicious, and, ask him why after all this time did he come back into your life, and that you are only asking because you need to know.

Why dont you ask him??

Im guessing he didnt have a drivers license for many of those years between 10 and 25.... At least half of them, anyways.

Maybe he has not been able to afford it. Maybe he has had a tough time with life in general. Maybe his parents kept him away, either out of apathy or resentment for an argument.

Maybe he is just inconsiderate, I don't know.

Ask him.

Because somehow he is lost and he really had no one else to turn to.

You must be the last person he beleived that "really" loved him.

We don't show up out of nowhere if we have any other options.
