I have been known to give blood.
My daughter had to have blood transfusions and I am so grateful to the people who donated theirs.

I used to work for the Blood Transfusion Service and giving blood is a very special thing to do.
People who give blood regularly save more lives than people who donate organs, you can save a life every few months for decades donating blood, you only have the one set of vital organs for transplant.
That's not to say you shouldn't donate organs, that's a wonderful thing to do too, I just think blood donors don't get the recognition they deserve.

Oh, and my husband reckons I must have donated my brain at some point, hmm..

No. I haven't. I know donating is the best thing to do after I die, but I'm still scared to do or think of that! I wished I could donate blood, but, I can't because I'm afraid of needles!

In Singapore, by default, all our organs will be harvested and donated to ppl who need them more. Unless you opt out of the scheme, which is an evil thing to do.

Not yet, but when I die and don't need them anymore I will. Also, if a family member needed a kidney or something that I could live without, I'd donate it in a heartbeat!

I was tested to see if i could donate a kidney to my cousins son but i wasn't suitable, i also tried to donate blood to my son after he was born premature, but because my iron was so low and i had bleeding they had trouble stopping they wouldn't allow me to do it.
But i can say i have done artificial respiration on my son, he had a few relapses , i was taught what to do, and i also performed artificial respiration on a few elderly patients when i worked in a home for the elderly.

Just my heart. I gave it to my wife and she gave me hers. I saved a teacher's life once. she was passed out on the floor and I called 911. They came and revived her.
