I find I feel different ways at different times. For instance, sometimes, perhaps my needs being taken care of then and forseeably, I am moved by thought of a need out there and donate something available, usually money. Others, I do not. Perhaps from feeling a need to maintain myself, perhaps for another reason.

What mostly makes me think that I consider how I am treading water myself before contributing to the betterment of others in some volunteer or dollar way (something other than the feelings at each time that I might remember) is thinking about truly horrible things that exist — the Lord's Army in Uganda using children under 10 to chop womens' legs and arms off to make them helpless while the older children and men rape the womens' children, boys and girls, next to their mutilated selves, a half million children dying EVERY year in sub-Saharan (ok, black) Africa from malaria and another half million suffering physical weakness and mental interruptions for the rest of their lives from it when all that is needed is DDT, of 9yo boys and girls sold into sexual slavery in Thailand every single day — and how, other than writing my two Senators, once, about the malaria problem, I really do nothing and how it seems likely to me that's because the only truly meaningful things I could do involve me leaving my life and going to these places and being in real danger and not having a life I enjoy and perhaps still not making a difference and then deciding to stay right here and cheer the (not-as-evil-anymore) Bill Gates on as he uses the $40 billion of his fortune he put in his foundation to do some of the things I wish I could do.

So I think that's the main consideration driving me as I make those decisions day in and day out. Pick up the hitchhiker? Sure, I can do that. No wait, not this time because I'm three minutes behind on my drive to work. Or maybe I can after all because I'm driving home instead.

Like that.

And the question of happier which way follows my choice because it actually drove my choice each time.

I am happy when I am of help to someone in need be it $ or of self. Never would lend money. If I didn't have it to give then I would say sorry but if I had it I gave it willingly. I never have had money to just spend on myself. If I needed something I got it. Wanting it was a different matter. Others and the need of others came first. Truth!

I don't find happiness outside myself. Spending money on anyone or anything does not make me happy or sad. Spending money is just using a tool, I feel the same way about weeding my garden with a trowel, or washing the laundry in a washer......use a tool to accomplish a task.
Happiness comes from inside yourself. If you seek it out, no one and nothing can make you unhappy. If you do not look within and find your happiness, you will never be truly happy.

I'd think I would be happy with both. I would be happy if I helped some one because, you feel needed and appretiated. But, who doesn't like spending money on your selves, as long as it's not the emergency credit card lol. N/E ways I think it can go 50/50.

i know asking questions i elect to sense greater valuable from asking a question (perhaps somebody asserting your overreacting she likes you). yet sorry he in simple terms needs intercourse. He sounds youthful. yet believe me, no guy that enjoyed a female might ever ask that. maximum women may well be so indignant that he mentioned that they might by no ability refer to him. If he wanted to be certain in case you have been an "difficulty-free gal" he might ask questions like what proportion cases have you ever had intercourse, have you ever had intercourse with somebody you probably did not know that long or in simple terms met. on a similar time as anybody get mixed answer on right here. there isn't any genuine way meaning something different than he needs to be certain if he could have intercourse with you.

I'd be happier helping someone who needed me. This question is basically to find out if you are a people pleaser.

I like making myself happy by spending money on myself before I spend money on others. I don't spend money on myself often so when I do it I feel I deserve it.

Money or material items do not make me happy. I would rather donate my time then money helping out other people.
