Because we let them, big mistake! We sit and wait for them to call, we put everything aside for a chance to see them... We are individuals! :) Don't forget it! he will respect you more in the long run!

For the same reason girls consider their boyfriends as "theirs". It's called dating exclusively. It doesn't actually mean possession of somebody... It's an expression.

I never considered any of them mine in the respect of I own them. but in my. like my girlfriend. My partner in life at the point in time. It is also a bit possesive in that i say her love is mine. It all breaks down to posessiveness.
