A friend of mine purchased an awesome bag from, I believe, Nepal, as a gift. Imprinted on the bag are the words "Radha Krishna" repeatedly. I am not familiar with the meaning behind it. Can someone kindly explain/translate? Many thanks in advance!

KRISHNA is the 8th avatar of Lord Mahavishnu and Radha is
is a divine female person from the Hindu (Vedic) tradition. Radha is almost always depicted alongside her paramour Krishna.

The complete conception of God includes God and His energies, which exist simultaneously with Him and are in a sense identical to Him. The sum of Krishna's energies is Radha, His eternal consort. Like the sun and sunshine, Krishna and Radha are one.

Radha embodies the totality of love for Krishna. Thus She is known as the personification of Bhakti, or loving devotion to God.

Loving God is our natural state, now dormant. By Her pure example, Radha is the beacon calling everyone to re-awaken full love for Krishna. She also dispenses mercy to help us achieve that goal.

Radha-Krishna are the male and female aspects of God. Known as the Divine Couple, together they are the full manifestation of God.-

Radha a princess was a devotee of Krishna. Her eternal love of Krishna is symbolised with their idols always being placed together. Hinduism is not puritanical in nature and the love for god is visualised in many ways, as a friend, as a lover as any relation one chooses to have with the Godhead. It is also chanted together as Radhe Krishna in hymns!

The term "hare Krishna's" was made popular in the early 60s and 70s This is because the devotees did a lot of chanting in the street and preaching and this was easy way of explaining who they were Nowadays all Iskcon and non Iskcon devotees may be referred to as "hare krishnas" The proper address would be Vaisnavas more specifically Gaudiya Vaisnavas tho on the other hand saying Hare Krishna is also good/better because it is the holy name But a more practical approach my be to say Iskcon devotee
