Is this a post Vatican II phenomina? Are there special Catholic missionaries trained to reach protestants and try reach us by speaking our own language?
Tricky, but most of us aren't buying it! The average Catholic knows nothing about their own church, let alone the Bible. These missionaries are mere commisars.

Wolf; converts are always the most zealous of any religion. you confirm my beliefs simply because you were a protestant.
Thanks!

They indeed have their views on Scripture, and unfortunately it is to devalue it.
Catholicism believes that church tradition is equal in, and can trump, the authority of Scripture.
You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men. -Mark7:8

We've always quoted Scripture. Each Mass starts out with the Liturgy of the Word, and it's all about the Scripture, baby.
Just because you know a bunch of lazy Catholics who (a) never paid attention in church and (b) had parents who failed to teach them the joys of the Catholic faith, which includes Scripture doesn't mean that the Catholic religion is completely devoid of Biblical teaching.
Facts are much, much better than assumptions. You might want to try them out sometime.

Catholics have ALWAYS quoted scripture. Mostly is has been done by priests and others who have been educated, but more Catholics are getting educated in their faith.
Tricky? Commisars?
At least i am man enough NOT to block people.

Wow....and at some point you're going to realize that for the first 1500 years or so, all Christians were Catholics. Therefor, all people who were converted to Christianity were done by the Church of Rome, and all bible scripture transmission was done by them. Like it or lump it, Christianity is nothing without Catholicism, and your bible wouldn't exist without them.

Your ignorance of what we Catholics know and do is appalling. Many of us know our Bible far better than a lot of you Protestants do. As I sit here, I can see my bookshelf, and I have at least 30 different translations and study Bibles, along with concordances, study helps, and reference works. That's in addition to my e-Sword computer program with all its translations and study aids.
I've taken classes and studied the Bible on my own because it is the Word of God. I also hear the Bible preached and taught every time I go to Mass since it is the basis of the liturgy. And as a convert, I've probably studied my Church's beliefs in greater depth than a lot of "cradle Catholics," just because I love Catholicism.
And you know what? It's God's job to enlighten you, not mine. He led me into the Faith passed down from Christ to His apostles and their successors, and He can do the same for you, if you let Him.
Edit:
Ah, so there can't possibly be any truth to anything I'm saying because I'm a convert and "everybody knows they're a bunch of zealots." Talk about logical fallacies. . .you seem to have cornered the market on those this morning!

Just imagine the terror the priests went through when the printing press started cranking out the bible and the masses got hold of it!
