There were many fantastic creatures in our past that we'll never have the privilege to know. It's really a shame. Unicorns being one of the most beautiful. Animals have gone extinct as well as plants throughout history and it's a natural selection thing. Why they were left out of the ark? Something we'll never know. Maybe they just went the way of countless other animals, extinction.

Whether unicorns were real or not cannot be proven at this time. It's not hard to fathom a horse-like creature with one horn so, they may have existed. The Bible never says God left them off the ark, it's an assumption some people make. If they existed and do not now, there's no reason to think God hated them any more than any extinct creature. If we don't know whether they existed or not, why would you assume they were lovely, kind, gentle creatures?? They may very well have been brutal with that horn ya know? Or, perhaps they do still exist in the modern day horse with no horn, or goat with 2 horns. Ever think of that?

Since we weren't there, we don't know that unicorns (If they existed,) weren't allowed on the Ark. Noah took two of each mammal into the ark.

Maybe over time, the unicorns lost their horns and became horses. (Shrugs) Or maybe the unicorns were hunted for their horns, much the same way elephants are hunted for their tusks.

However, it might be that unicorns are still around today, but since there are no innocent virgins left above the age of 8, they choose not to show themselves. After all the legend says that they'll only show themselves to a woman of exceptional purity.

Ok, let me tell you what happened, since no one seems to know the facts. The Unicorns heard about the arc, and said, well, guess we better get going, but when only 2 were allowed on, it created a problem, no one wanted to leave their brothers or sisters behind, finally 2 were chosen and sent on the arc, but damn if Noah didn't check out their body parts, they were both female, so rather than bring them off the ark and risk God's wrath at his screw up, Noah decided to feed the unicorns to the dogs and wolves, which is why they use horse meat in dog food, it was all Noahs fault.

I like this make believe story of Noah and his rickety boat, can I make up more animals to write pretend stories about, what about gnomes and leperchauns. Wait, they didn't survive because god told them incest was wrong, so they could make it with thier mommy, so they died off. all of the other creatures that Noah saved went to hell because they all committed incest to repopulate the world, damn, this God guy really likes his privacy.

LOL. You must have some secret information. I have never heard before that God would hate unicorns.

Rumor has it they were frolicking during Noah's days.(Them unicorns were hiding, playing silly games, kicking and splashing while the rain was falling, Oh, them silly unicorns)

Edit: Had to add some humor. Unicorn = One Horn (could be Rhino (?) )

according to Julian Barnes, it was on the ark (curiously he speaks of "the" unicorn), but Noah was jealous of him and "had him casseroled." Sounds like Noah alright.

If they existed then God would have put some of their kind on the ark, if they didn't, then they didn't go on the ark. Simple as that.
Coincedentally the word "UNICORN" IS mentioned in the KJV bible in Job 39 but this is a mistranslation of the hebrew for 'wild boar', so if the word unicorn is in reference to the wild boar, then they did go on the ark lol

you're mistaken - god loved them. he also loved dinosaurs, that's why both of those creatures were on the ark. unfortunately the dino's ate the unicorns. in fact, i think that's how some dinosaurs evolved horns - because of the unicorn dna they consumed!
