It would depend grately upon how much time you spent in the books - reading, writing, investigating, researching, learning on your own....Most of my students will return to school in August and will not have cracked one book. Even though they have reading assignments established for them through the local libraries and each individual school, many of them will not participate in the reading not any of the other math activities.

"Getting smart" is not a matter of 'summer vacation', learning is a matter of participating in all of the learning opportunities that are available to you. Even as an adult- learning continues.
