Primo, the soul lives forever in heaven or hell. The spiritual birth happens when one is born again & goes to heaven only. To me, the body dies & turns to dust & the soul born of the spirit goes to heaven to be with the Lord.

Cookie, the 1st resurrection happens before Jesus comes back to reign for the Millinnium. The 1st resurrection started when Jesus raised from the dead & is finished when the rest of us redeemed by His blood are raised up like Him, whole; body, soul & spirit. And this happens before the 1000 yr reign of Christ. The last Resurrection is after the 1000 yr reign of Christ. For everyone not part of the 1st resurrection. So? are you planning to be raised up at the last resurrection, or the 1st?

Because of God's mercy. Can you imagine living in this body/world of sin...forever?!? I am grateful that I get to leave this body and trade it in for a glorified one!
"For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:1-8)

We are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and born again (John 3:3) this is in reference to a spiritual birth so that after we die due to the sin of Adam we can live forever in Heaven with Christ due to the Second Adam's sacrifice (1 Corinthians 15:45)

1 Corinthians 15
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
It is all part of God's plan. When Adam transgressed, death and sin became a part of this world. Adam was separated from God both spiritually (cast out of the garden) and physically (eventual death, remember God said he would die). However, God knew this would happen and provided a Savior and a Redeemer to save us from our sins and to redeem us from death, both of which would keep us from returning to God and eternal happiness. Adam knew this and is just like us and knew it was all part of the plan.
So, as the scripture says, by man (Adam) came death, by man (Christ) also came resurrection of the dead, and just as it is true that all die, all will also live again (spirit and body reunited never to die or get sick again). Peace.

Because we are imperfect humans. We get sick, we get old, we get in accidents, and we die.
The bible does say that there are those who would survive the Great Tribulation and never die, but live forever on the earth. Rev. 7: 9 & 14; Ps 37: 10, 11 & 29.
Those who have a heavenly hope must die, but are resurrected in a twinkling of the eye. Because flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom. 1 Cor. 15:50-52

It is because we are living in a telestial world, subject to the laws of entropy, decay, and death. This life is a test, where we are permitted to learn about physical laws and the opposite of immortality and perfection. Those who keep their second estate (referring to mortal life here), that is, those who learn how to be obedient and keep God's commandments, will be resurrected after the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The more we learn about opposites, the more we appreciate the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the rest of eternal life. Also, it is possible that when these resurrections occur by the power of Jesus Christ and His servants, that they will serve to convince those who are doubting that there is no other way to God but through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Have a happy day, and I send you a gummy bear.

Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Hebrews 9:26-28 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
26For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Because all living things die. It is the spirit that goes on to better places. Think about it, would you want to live an eternity in a body that's wracked with asthma and near sightedness, and stiff joints?
I know that I wouldn't.
