HELL YES!!!!!! Ubuntu 7.03 Feisty Fawn with Firefox here. When I want to run games that are mico$uck$ only that is what WINE is for. It is a good feeling is it not? Edited to add: Hey poseiden that was the case a few years ago, but not now. Linux is really intuitive, espically the debian based ones . Ubuntu is by flipping far the easiest and closest thing to windoze. You would be VERY VERY surprised what you can do now with Linux. Especially if you team it up with a good windows emulator like WINE. I can do anything on Linux and better than I could on micro$uck$. So far I have zero problems with any hardware or drivers. The Ubuntu is so intuitive here is an example. I hooked my printer up I got a few weeks ago and not only did it pick up on the new printer it even found and installed the drivers for it automatically. Oh and security problems are NON EXISTENT on Linux even without a firewall or antivirus.

Linux is a pain in the @$$ to learn and doesn't support enough hardware. If they tried to support more hardware and had the update system and user support base like microsoft does, it would cost just as much. I do use the knoppix livecd's for diagnostics and fixing really messed up machines, but for most people it sucks.

I use firefox and thunderbird for internet and email, but that's as far as I can be bothered to go. I don't want to reinstall my entire OS.
