I just keep the wrapper of the gum in my pocket and when I am done with it, I put it in the wrapper and if I see a bin close by, that's where it goes. If not, I wait until I get home and then get rid of it. I have thorn it out a car window before though and have even stopped doing that. That one didn't seem so bad to do as it will melt and then it just disintegrates. I got into the habit of saving it because I was stepping on to many pieces of gum thrown on the ground and it is nasty to try and get it off of my shoes. Then I just thought about how it was for others to do the same thing. So, for your answer I am a person who now is a saver.
This was a good question by the way. It may make someone else think about someone else having to clean the gum off their shoes.

The best way:
Put it back on the wrapper and throw it into the nearest garbage bin.
If there are none around:
Put it in your pocket until you come across a garbage bin.
If there are no bins around for hundreds of miles:
Dig a small hole in the ground and bury it.

This is actually a good question, because take a look at the ground next time you are outside. All those little grey dots on the ground.....that's gum. Obviously there are many, many people who just spit it on the ground. This is why it's banned in Singapore.
I try to find a garbage can, but I can admit, I have spit it on the ground in the past and probably will again in the future. Although, I guess I try to spit it somewhere that people won't walk.

Definitely in the garbage can--if can't find one, it gets wrapped in paper and thrown in my purse. Stepping in gum is gross.

obviously the garbage can...
when u put it on the floor it either gets stuck onto somebody's shoe or made into another black circle on the grown. help everybody out and don't throw it on the floor
