Ok, if you are both under 18 and he is 4 years older than you that makes you 13 at the most. Jesus Christ where the hell are your parents?

This is something you have to figure out on your own. When I was age 16-18, sex was all I ever cared about. Guys, for the most part, don't really look to settle down until after their school days when they get a good job, live on their own and can actually enjoy being with a woman without thinking about sex all the time.
Having said all that, guys are indeed different. Maybe he wants sex, but also a serious relationship to go with it. Don't listen to your girlfriends, especially the single ones because they're probably just jealous. Take time with the guy and after a month or so, you'll have a good indication of what he's looking for in you.

If you're both under 18 and he's 4 years older than you then you have to be 13 or younger. And I hate to break it to you, but any 17 year old guy who's being 'really sweet' to you really doens't have your best interests in mind. He most likely sees you as a target because he can intimidate and pressure you because you're younger than him. I have a feeling you're friends are 99% right on this one- so please be careful.
It's easy for guys to be sweet when they want something, but being sweet and really caring about you and your well being is something totally different. The fact that you're asking this makes it seem like you have some doubts about him- so trust your gut.
Good luck!

If you are having sex, then it could be true...or it could not. I dated my husband when I was 16 and he was 19. We had a sexual relationship but we knew we were going to be married. Sure enough, we're now past the 5 year mark in our marraige and we are happier each year.
However, I must remind you that I KNEW beyond any doubt that we would be getting married. I can't explain how. I knew it when I was 15 and we weren't even dating yet. So I would wait and not have sex with this boy at all. If he only wants you for that reason, then he will break up with you, and then he wouldn't have been worth it anyway. If he stays then that means he loves you for much more than that.

I guess people say that because generally speaking, MOST guys want only one thing, sex. There are exceptions though. Only you and this guy know what kind of relationship you have. He may very well be a nice guy and just want to hang out, but you still have to be responsible and know that more might be expected of you, e.g. sex. You say that he's 4 years older and you're both under 18, if he is under 18, then you are probably 13 or 14, so ideally, you're still too young to be having sex anyway, so enjoy hanging out, but don't take things too far, and if it does go that way, BE CAREFUL and USE PROTECTION!!!
Good Luck.

Why didn't you just type sex? It's not a profanity and won't get filtered out by Y!A. If you can't even type the word I hesitate to say you're ready for the act. Also, if you are both under 18 then you aren't of legal age. Listen to your friends, if he has a history of dating for sex then moving on, don't do it. Even if he seems nice, he could just be a con artist.

If hes four years older id take it hes in it for the sex..sorry.
He may be sweet, but thats his way of getting you to fall for him. What do you mean "why would he wantme just for sex if were both under 18?"? Hes four yearls older than you, dont get hung up with him now, we he turnes 18 youll be 14, and it will be illegal and he can go to jail. He will prolly leave you alone because of this reason..so dont give it up to somone who just gonna leave anyway.

If you are both under 18 and he is four years older than you, then you are too young to be having sex. If he's in highschool and you're in middle school, he's a creeper so leave him the hell alone.

Well that is the funny thing about life , you have choices if he likes you for you then he would understand that your not ready to have sex. See where it goes if he brings up sex all the time its easy to say no. You will never know what he is all about until you give him a chance to express himself. If he turns out to be the jerk that your friends say he is then get rid of him no harm no foul. Only way to learn in life is by making mistakes . Just make sure you say no.
