I mowed about 2 acres of grass at my house yesterday, and now my nose has been bleeding a little bit at a time since I woke up. Could this be because of allergies to the grass or does it sound like something else?

I am 22 and I have previously taken blood pressure meds, but since I've been working out and watching what I eat I was able to discontinue the use of my meds.

it's probably a combination of two things, allergens and dryness. The best, cheapest and easiest treatment for both it to buy some "ocean spray" brand saline nose spray. It's just sea salt and pure water. Use it as directed, usually 2 sprays to each nostril as needed. This keeps the nasal membraines from drying out, cracking and bleeding, it also helps a great deal with allergies. If the problem continues, see you doc.

You might have aggravated the lining of your nose/sinus either treat is as a normal bleed by leaning forward not back and pinch the top of your bridge for 10 Min's or if that don't work try piriton from the chemist for 3 days and see if that helps if it still bleeds after 3 days then visit your Dr

It probably was due to the amount of work you did yesterday, mowing isn't easy and it's very straining. Your nose will clear up soon, just keep tissues with you and never put your head back (if you do put your head back, the blood will run down your tube and you could choke)

Allergies don't normally cause nose bleeding. An allergy might cause you to cough and sneeze repeatedly and strong "blowing" might cause bleeding. It could also be a coincidence and be caused by something else. If it continues, a doctor visit is definitely in order.

I've never really heard of a nosebleed caused by allergies. After all, it could just be a nosebleed. Just tilt your head up to prevent the bleeding and then I would call your doctor get his opinion on the situation. I'm sure it should be alright.

I doubt it has anything to do with mowing or it would have happened while you were doing it. Unless of course you took antihistamines and dried out your tissues so they cracked and bled this morning. Get some saline nose spray, it will moisturize the tissues again.

you don't mention your age? could be high blood pressure
if it doesn't stop soon get it checked out with a doctor.
it could be an early warning of more serious problems
i know I'm full of doom and gloom but remember if a pessimist gets it wrong, you get a nice surprise whereas if an optimist gets it wrong!!!!!
