Years ago, and long before Comcast, I had a cable TV problem that took forever to find. When the cable service was installed, the installer used a staple gun to staple the cable to the siding. He ran one of the staples trough a part of the cable.

Have them rerun a cable to your place. Its possible the cable itself is corroded some place. Keep complaining, you are paying for the service, they need to repair it. Complain some more, and if they tell you that they can't fix it, then tell them you are cancelling your service and go to someone else. Unless they are the only cable company in town, I am sure they will fix it, they won't want to lose your business.

Get DirecTV.

They may offshore their call center, so you have to speak fluent Indian to understand them, but it's less expensive than cable and a MUCH better picture.

Is your neighbor's signal good?

Do you know for sure it is not your TV?

Bug the heck out of them until they fix it.
