Central locking in drivers side door will only lock drivers door remaining 3 doors stay open, however works fine if locked from passengers door.

Internal controls, in drivers door will work to lock all doors but won't open, this has to be done manually.

Electric window in drivers door, doesn't work, completely jammed shut!, however controls will open passenger window, but won't close, but will close if controls on passenger side are used.

Can anyone help a confused VW driver?

could be a connection problem in the wiring in the door.
Be carefull with the window if its playing up they have a habit of falling into the door and that would be more expensive for you to repair! I would say get a garage to have a look for you doesnt have to be a V Dub garage!

It is probably a problem with the electrical connection between the door and the body, which is a flexible link at the front of the door near the hinges (looks a bit like a vacuum cleaner hose).
Try taking it off, cleaning all the connections and re-fitting.
Check it for signs of water ingress or damage to the seals, and replace the seals if necessary.

hiya well the slow operation on the passenger side is 1 of 2 things, the window may be sticking in the rubber runner, normally you have to take the door casing off and spray a Greece in to the rubber, then operate the window a few times to work this in. the second option is a tired motor. but all ways do the first option to begin with. the drivers window , well to me that sounds like a bad connection some where. if again you take the door casing off you may find a trapped wire or at least the problem.

It sounds like you have an electrical fault caused by some breakdown in the connection. You are better off getting this looked at by a professional unfortunately. As for the central locking - try changing the battery in the key. I had a problem with mine once that sounded something like yours and it sorted it for me! Hope this helps

Like most people have commented on, this is most likely to be an electrical fault for some reason.
If you take it to VW, they will probably charge you a fortune.
If you have a VW specialist in the area, take it to them asthey will be cheaper.
Failing that, your local Skoda retailer will be able to do the job just fine. Will probably be much cheaper than VW aswell!

Hope this helps.

Electrical fault.
Get it checked by a gargage.
Have you got warranty. If not you can always buy one or join AA repair service for £50 or so per year.

Your question confused me ......
will open from one side but not shut.
but will shut from one side but not open........
