No, it's all just banter.
We're all members of the same Nation's Armed Force, and so we have a great ammount of respect for one another simply for serving.
In the forces, banter is actually a form of compliment (strange as it seems). If someone is mocking you playfully, then it means that they actually respect you.
If there's no banter going on, then you know something's actually wrong between them.

There are very real turf wars between the branches at the Pentagon level. Not as much now they have to do joint training. A Navy Admiral has just been named commander of all ground troops in Iraq.
At the troop level, like college rivals. Some get carried away and get physical, but most will recognize each branch has an expertise to bring to the battle.
Met a retired Army Ranger, told me he was the senior instructor at airborne school and lead the first class that included Marines. He said that while his heart belonged to the Army, the best time he ever spent was working with the Marines.
My brother went to Vietnam with the 101st AB two years after I got back from Nam in the 3rd Marine Div. 40 years later he said he had figured it out. He was in the Army, but there Marines are in me. HooRah
What does Army stand for? Ain't Ready for the Marines Yet.

How lots will rely on the crime. could be a 12 months, 25 years, existence or perhaps death. i've got faith there are 9 on death row at Leavenworth. The conviction is additionally pronounced to the FBI for inclusion of their documents base. Any criminal background verify could pull this up as criminal. Get a DD and you will't very own a weapon in maximum states, vote in 18 states and almost certainly ever connect the different branch of the US protection rigidity. There are lesser discharge types. The DD and BCD (undesirable habit Discharge) are the two issued in straightforward terms via court docket Martial, the two in many cases incorporate time at the back of bars and the two bar you from the protection rigidity. The link has some solid motives of discharge types. i'm able to enable you to recognize from adventure as a motive force/safeguard at one for 'disobeying an order" that justice interior the protection rigidity can come lots swifter with a extra harsh sentence than the civilian sector. I additionally had to pass interior the stockade (Coleman Kaserne Mannheim FRG) those men have been below very strict protection rigidity administration. SSG US military seventy 3-eighty two

During the Falklands conflict, I forget which way round it was, either an SAS sniper shot an SBS soldier, or an SBS sniper shot a member of the SAS, it was an error, but the shot soldier died.
On the way back from the Falklands the two groups had to be seperated at Ascension Island before a small civil war broke out on their transport ship.
The bad blood remains to this day.

Go to any garrison town on a Friday night and see who's punching the hell out of whom!
It stands to reason. Here you have a bunch of blokes fully trained up, adrenalin racing. What they gonna do? I know, a punch up in town. It happens. Only difference between a military punch up and a civilian one is that the military one is carried out by guys who know how to hit hard and I mean really hard.
The Paras hate regiment X and so it goes.

Apparently the Para's and the Marine's really don't see eye to eye on a lot of things. Mostly revolving around who is the best.
and yes you are right there may be some respect there, but it's pretty well hidden! lol
and of course everybody despises Military itelligence, mostly because they don't think they are

I think it is mainly a question of senior officers doing infighting for promotion or glory. It is said that the lads at the sharp end know something is going to happen when they all promise to fight on the same side.
