She shouldn't drink milk, it gives her diarrhea. Give her kitten food, dry or canned, but never milk. If she likes human food it is oK, as long as it is not spiced, and it doesn't contain garlic, onion, grapes or raisins. Or sugar.

At 4 months old she really doesn't need milk anymore. Feed her dry kitten food and giving a little human food (turkey or chicken or fish) wont hurt her. Just don't let her get over weight 1 pound on a full grown dog or cat is like 5-10 lbs on a human, granted she will continue to gain weight until she is a bit older and she isn't full grown yet. You could try canned kitten food as well. Talk to your vet if you are really worried but she might have just realized the human food tastes better then what she gets and will hold out until she gets what she wants.

Well not to many people know this about cats but believe it or not they are lactose intolerant .. there milk and our milk is VERY different ..
Cats are carnivorous .. try a good quality cat food with a good amount of protein ... Royal Canin is a good brand or even Eukanuba ..
But defiantly you need to start feeding this cat a solid cat food .. the milk will only hurt the cat and also it does not have all the nutrients that the animal needs to be healthy ... if you still want to feed the cat milk as a TREAT once and a while the pet store carries a milk that is specially formulated for cats

The kitten is out growing the milk, its time to start feeding the kitten dry kitten chow and some of the wet canned foods like 9 lives tuna select with egg bits is very good for kittens and grown cats too.The kitten will start to take an interest in the foods you eat too and its ok to let them taste it as long as it is NOT spicy (hot spices, garlic, etc.) but never substitute people food for kitten food or cat food ever.So stop worrying and you'll see it will be alright.

Don't worry about your cat, that is perfectly OK!. You should know that as cats get older most of them become lactose intolerant and I think that is the reason why your cat doesn't want to drink her milk. It's also ok if your cat likes certain human food just talk to your vet to make sure the food she wants to eat is good for her, if not just give her cat food (I know for a fact dry cat food is better ; ) and I think Innova cat food is the best out there because they use great ingredients (unlike purina, science diet, iams -which I really dislike- which use by products, like the birds beak, feathers, feet, and other awful ingredients.
Good luck with your kitty's nutrition!

Ahh the joys of owning a cat, already it's managed to make you believe that it will starve to death unless you give it exactly what it wants! Don't worry they all try this on, and if it didn't get anywhere with you it would try it on someone else in the house. Your fine with milk as long as it is specially made kitten/cat milk and then only once a day. Give it the correct kitten dried or meat food you can buy in shops but make it think it's really exciting to eat. However embarrassing this makes me seem, it worked, I had to pretend to eat my kittens food before she got interested in it, then I had to feed it to her on a fork! Don't be scarred, if she's hungry she will eat it!

i would give her a litlle chicken mixed with a teeny bit of rice and defo cut out the milk (lots of cats have an intolerance, although you can buy special cat milk). It could be that you have been spoiling her a little and if you leave the dry biscuits down, she will eat them when she is hungry. I know it's a worry but cats do love to play on things and try and make us feel guilty... she'll still love you the same :)

you have made the bad choice of letting her try human food. of course it is tastier. but its not good for them. don't give her any more. just give her cat milk, water, dried kitten biscuits and wet kitten food. if you carry on feeding her human food. she will become very fussy eater and then you will have a problem. don't give her the choice, she will eat whatever if she gets hungry enough. i no you want to spoil them but just get cat treats not human food the kitten needs all the nutrients in the food human food will not give her what she needs. got to be cruel to be kind!!!!!!!!!!

I have 2 kittens who are 4 months old. They started eating solid food about 2 months ago. She prefers solid food because thats what she's suppose to eat. Plus human food is always tastier to them, but not as healthy.

She should be fed on proper kitten food, you can buy it from your local supermarket or pet store, don't feed her human food as it can mess up their stomachs and make them ill. If she won't drink then you need to syringe feed her water to keep her hydrated and get her to a vet asap as it could be something serious, keep feeding her kitten food, whether it's the wet meat stuff or the dry food, but always make sure she has fresh water down to keep her hydrated. Take her to the vets asap to see what's going on with her.
