My friend has 12 cats and it is nasty cause they piss everywhere cause they are always marking their spot. For some reason she wont get rid of them. Is their a reason why she needs to have them. Is it a mental problem? Thanks

There could be a psychological reason to why your friend has a lot of cats. Some people who have social problems "collect" animals especially cats and dogs because they give love unconditionally. It can become problomatic if they are not able to properly care for the large ammont of animals they end up with. If the animals are all healthy and being well fed and have proper bathroom access then animal control will not be likely to take her animals. However if the animals are sickly, underfed or have respitory problems then animal control will step in. Talk to your friend about why she has so many cats and maybe about resons why to part with a few of them.

The reason their not healthy is because it's not good to have 12 cats. Actually it's illegal in some places. There is a limit to how many pets you can have. Talk her into giving some away for their health. It's not a mntal problem. Maybe she feels alone. You should introduce her to more friends.

She just loves them. But she needs to spay/neuter them, so that they stop marking their teritory and stop multiplying. It's like people who have12 kids, I can't understand that either, but it's their call. She also needs to clean a lot, to make sure there is no hygiene hazard.

Cause she cares and knows what may happen if she doesn't keep them. Want to help? Get her some more litter boxes
