I would not worry to much about the heart murmur, however, the doctor should follow up with some tests, EKG, echocardiogram to make sure there is not something he is missing.
You BP is within normal limits . They have raised the median range in the past few years. Also, anxiety itself, which some people get when going to the doctor, dentist as well as pain can elevate BP. However, you need to have it checked on a regular basis and not at the same time everyday. If you worked , if it was hot outside or you had been doing something strenuous or stressfull prior to going to the doc that could have caused elevation. Get your self a good BP cuff , stethescope ( not a electronic machine, they are not that accurate) learn to take your BP , take it throughout the day to see what the fluctuations are.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

the heart murmur isn't as important as the blood pressure. yours should be much lower considering your age. continue to follow up with your doctor, lose weight, exercise, and eat a healthy diet before you become a statistic.

What difference does it make? You are definitely overweight - but your doctor must have told you that. I hope he/she gave you a healthy diet to follow and that you will begin some physician-recommended exercise. You are a good candidate for a stroke - you don't want that.

They can definitely be related. Follow up with your doctor and have him perform some cardiac testing. Ask him/her what is recommended to remedy both.
