If I mixed 1 cup or either puffed rice, wheat, or corn cereal (the nautral kind, not the sugar coated stuff) with 1/2-1 cup of vanilla soymilk? Then possibly added like 1/2 a banana or 1/2 a cup of fruit just to add some more flavor? And then I kind of blended it all up. I was hoping maybe it would come out to like an oatmeal-ly porridge consistancy. Do you guys think it would taste good and work?

I think it would not come out, and possibly look like something you threw up. Why not just eat it as is, in a bowl, with the milk and the fruit? You could pour the milk over and heat it up in the microwave, then the cereal would possibly take on a porridge consistency, but don't blend it with the fruit.

growing up my dad used to make us 'batidos de trigo' or puffed wheat milk shakes.

this sounds simliar but with a fruity twist. if you blend equal parts soy milk and puff wheat and 1/2 part of fruit (banana, mango, strawberries all work well) and blend with 1/2 part ice you'll have hearty and delicous breakfast drink.

First thing I tought of when I was reading was the rice puff would expand. Sounds like you would get a thick texture out of it. Going on the abosorbtion of the cereal.

if you do try this, you will probably want to wait a few minutes for the cereal to soften. give it a whirl... sometimes the weirdes things taste great! yogurt will thicken it up a little more than milk too.... update us and let us know how it turned out!

Doesn't sound bad - try it and let us know. I'd use chilled mik. Wouldn't use the puffed rice for it would become a mush.
